Got these from a friend in West Virginia Dottie: They are delicious buy 4 Quarts of sliced Kocher Dill pickles and drain well In a separte bowl mix: 5 pounds sugar 4 to 5 TBOsp red Tobascco Sauce 12oz bottle of Tarragon Vinegar Mix well and start layering pickles and sugar sauce in a gallon glass jar, keep turning and shaking every so often, so the sugar all gets dissolved. After all sugar is dissolved, you can put pickles back in the jars you bought them in. Store for at lease 24 hours before eating. These are delicious and keeps well in cool place. be sure the pickles you use are Kocher Dill or this won't work.

Oh my goodness. I just tasted these morsels and they are the best pickles I've ever ate. Something about the dill and sweet and the tarragon and Tobasco Sauce I guess. Yummy!

I really want to try this but in a smaller amount. So if I have this right, a jar of ordinary say "Bicks" pickles with or without garlic works right??? And how large is the bottle of Tabasco?? There are about 3 different sizes! Thanks!!!!

I would get the one without garlic.. I just used the small bottle of tabassco and used only half of it for the whole batch. Probably 1/8 of a cup

Slush I finally measured the tabasco sauce and I used 4 to 5 tablespoons in one batch depending on how hot and spicey you want it.
