Reply CUCUMBER AGUA FRESCA (Bon Appetit)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 1/2 cups coarsley chopped english cucumbers
4 cups cold water
2 cups ice cubes
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup lime juice (1 cup)
2 large pinches salt
Peel and chop the cucumbers coarsley
Half the ingredients and dump them in a blender. Blend for two minutes, or until sugar has disolved.
Do the same with the second half.
Put in a pitcher and cool for a bit.
Add extra Ice cubes.
I tried it, and I think it would taste even better with vodka.
Maybe even a rimmed glass...
...and life goes on...

An 'english cucumber' is the long one.
The seeda are very soft, therefore no need to take them out.
I don't think I would try the regular, smaller, cucumber for this one. The seeds are harder.
